Frenkie de Jong werd als middenvelder bij zijn profdebuut in de ploeg van Willem II onthaald, en heeft zich sindsdien ontpopt tot één van de meest veelbelovende Nederlandse voetballers. Alhoewel hij als twintiger grote ogen gooit bij Barcelona en er een riant salaris voor terugkrijgt, blijft hij nog altijd een gewone jongen. Toen hij pas vijftien jaar was, werd hij verliefd op Mikky Kiemeney en ging met knikkende knieën aan haar deur staan om haar mee uit te vragen. Gelukkig dacht zij hetzelfde over hem en ging ze met hem mee. Sindsdien zijn de twee jongeren een stel en is Mikky met hem meegegaan naar Spanje waar ze als ondernemer aan de slag is.
