DIRK KUIJT EN KATE RUINEMANS – 2 JAAR SAMEN
Voetballer Dirk Kuijt kende heel wat succes bij topclubs als Feyenoord, Fenerbahce en Liverpool. Maar ook bij het elftal van Oranje schitterde hij bij elke wedstrijd. In totaal was hij 104 keer op het veld te zien voor zijn land. En in die periode kon hij elke keer weer rekenen op de steun van zijn echtgenote Gertrude. Tijdens het werk voor zijn liefdadigheidsorganisatie leerde hij echter Kate Ruinemans kennen die er was tewerkgesteld en werd op haar verliefd, waardoor zijn huwelijk op de klippen liep. Ondertussen zijn de twee tortelduifjes als meer dan twee jaar samen en steunen ze elkaar door dik en dun.
