They’re Aging Like Wine, Not Milk, And We Have Questions

Barbara Eden – Born in 1931

After battling discrimination early in her Hollywood days, Barbara Eden flipped the script and lived to tell the tale. In 2025, on the “I Choose Me” podcast, she revealed how a casting director once told her she was just not Hollywood. Interestingly, she’d go on to star opposite Elvis Presley in “Flaming Star.”

Her prowess even extended to sitcoms as her turn in “I Dream of Jeannie” earned her two Golden Globe nods. A trained singer, Barbara released the album “Miss Barbara Eden” in 1967 and headlined musical shows in Las Vegas. It’s incredible how the one-time Miss San Francisco remains relevant despite a career spanning decades.
