Sie ist ein bekanntes Gesicht unter den Moderatoren des Senders „RTL“ – Birgit Schrowange moderierte unter anderem lange Zeit die Sendung „Extra – Das RTL Magazin“, so wie auch andere Formate des Senders. Bis zum Jahre 2006 war sie lange mit ihrem Kollegen Markus Lanz zusammen, der ebenfalls ein bekannter Moderator ist. Die beiden haben auch einen gemeinsamen Sohn, der heute 20 Jahre alt ist.
Heute ist Birgit Schrowange wieder glücklich liiert – seit drei Jahren ist sie bereits an der Seite von Unternehmer Frank Spothelfer. Aufgrund der schwierigen Pandemie-Situation fand die für dieses Jahr geplante Hochzeit letztendlich noch nicht statt, die beiden genießen jedoch auch unverheiratet ihre Zeit zusammen in Köln und der Schweiz.
