Es hija de padres españoles pertenecientes a la aristocracia que se mudaron a Manila por el trabajo del padre. En su adolescencia la trajeron a vivir a España a la casa de unos tíos para recibir una educación adecuada. Esta socialité siempre tuvo a la prensa rosa tras de sí. Tuvo tres matrimonios de los que tiene cinco hijos y actualmente está casada con Mario Vargas Llosa, el ganador del Premio Nobel de Literatura, quien también es aristócrata. Isabel siempre nos sorprende, desde verla en la televisión contando anécdotas de su vida hasta concursar con máscara de gata en un reality y cantar frente al público. Por eso es tan querida.
