Die 52-jährige Journalistin stand bis August 2021 am Mikrofon der Tagesthemen im Ersten. Zum Radio kam die blonde Niedersächsin übrigens als Reiseleiterin in Russland, wo sie vom NDR gebeten wurde, kleine Reportagen zu erstellen. Sie begann danach zunächst als Radiomoderatorin beim NDR und moderierte später das Magazin “Zapp” sowie “Titel, Thesen, Temperamente”. 2017 wurde ihr die Goldene Kamera im Bereich “Beste Information” verliehen, 2021 erhielt Miosga zudem den Grimme-Preis für ihre Afghanistan-Berichterstattung. Miosga, die für ihre Currywurst-Schwäche bekannt ist, lebt mit ihrem Mann, dem 66-jährigen Pathologen Tobias Grob, und ihren gemeinsamen, 2007 und 2010 geborenen Töchtern in Hannover.
