Peter Kay has a longstanding career in stand-up and television, making him one of the most well-liked comedians in the UK. Despite his fame, he has managed to keep his private well out of the spotlight. Kay is wed to Susan Gargan, whom he first met in a Bolton bar in 1998.
Gargan was an employee at the neighborhood Boots pharmacy at the time while Kay was working in the theater. Despite their second date, which Kay admitted didn’t go all that well, the lovers married in 2001 after dating for three years. She has been by Kay’s side for the length of his career.
