40 British Actors and Actresses From Time Past and What They’re up to These Days

Julie Andrews (Born in 1935) – The Sound of Music

Julie Andrews is a British actress, singer, and author. And it’s worth noting that she started acting and singing at a young age. She made her Broadway debut in the 1954-produced “Boy Friend.” However, her roles in films like “Mary Poppins” and “The Sound of Music” catapulted her to fame.

Andrews is also an excellent voice actor. And those who’ve listened to “The Queen” in the “Shrek” franchise or “Gru’s mom” from “Despicable Me” will agree. It’s not surprising that Andrews has received multiple Grammys and Golden Globes. She has no intention of anytime soon. After all, she’s been voicing “Lady Whistledown” in “Bridgerton” since 2020.
