Did you know that Charles Shaughnessy’s father worked as a scriptwriter on “Upstairs, Downstairs”? If that wasn’t enough to pique his interest in acting, the fact that his mom was an actress should have sealed the deal. So, it’s hardly surprising that he started acting in primary school and continued when he studied law in college.
Shaughnessy has collected over 120 acting credits spread across different genres. Fans will remember him for shows like “Mad Men,” “The Magicians,” and “The Nanny.” Still, the fact that he’s been playing Shane Donovan on “The Days of Our Lives” since 2021 means we’ll be seeing him for a while.
