Indeed, stars change houses more often than everyday people, both because of the nature of their work, but also because they quickly become bored of their humble abodes. Rowan Atkinson – $3.66 For Land and Estimated $7.06 Million for Construction, Oxfordshire


Rowan Atkinson bought the land for his multi-million-dollar home in Oxfordshire in 2006 for a sum of $3.66 million -which is quite a lot for just land in our opinion- which included the Handsmooth House (built in the ’30s) at the time as well. However, Rowan had his own plans for the 16 acres of land and wanted a house which was completely modern, with a glass and steel structure. The plans for the house, designed by famed architect Richard Meier, were approved in 2010 and incorporated five bedrooms, living room with an atrium-like style, solar paneled roofs, and a garage hidden in the secrecy of the green land. The estimated cost of the entire construction was around $7.6 million!
