John Kerry was once a Democratic nominee who lost to the Republican George W. Bush in the 2004 presidential elections. The politician served as the 68th US Secretary of State from 2013 to 2017. After listing his Nantucket home for $25M in June 2016, it was finally sold two years after for $17.5M according to the Registry of Deeds. The family of Jerry’s wife had owned the property since 1982, and the couple even tied the knot there in 1995. It was built with a five-bedroom house along with a separate guest log cabin. The former US Secretary moved to Martha’s Vineyard right after the listing.
