Die Lieder handelten von seinen Wanderjahren, bisexueller Liebe und Alkohol. Seine Touren wurden immer komplexer und erreichten schließlich die Größe von Millionen. Grund dafür waren nicht nur seine Lieder, die Einblicke in das Privatleben des Sängers gewährten, sondern auch die politischen Botschaften, die Lindenberg sang. Als einer der ersten sprach er über Themen wie Fremdenfeindlichkeit, Rüstung und die dunkle Zeit der italienischen und deutschen Geschichte unter faschistischen und nationalsozialistischen Symbolen. Auch heute sagt Lindenberg mit seiner Stimme, was er denkt, er wird 2022 und 2023 auf Tournee gehen und wer weiß, was es noch geben wird. Er wird aktiver sein als je zuvor, das sind die Erwartungen, die Lindenberg verrät.
