As the years go by, it may seem that marriages and relationships, in general, just don’t seem to last. We are talking about both celebrity relationships, as well as, those between us regular folks. The pressure of living life under the spotlight is never easy and it’s part of the reason celebrity relationships often have a short lifespan. 

There are certainly exceptions, however, and a growing list of celebrity couples prove that relationships can work and they can last. Whether a wedding has taken place or not, there are a number of famous couples who serve as inspiration that all it takes to be successful in love is dedication and sticking by each other’s side.

Tom Hanks & Rita Wilson – 31 Years

Tom Hanks and his leading lady, Rita Wilson, have practically spent half of their lives together. They are both 63 and their marriage is now in its 31st year. They were also brought together by a movie, back in the ’80s, and in 1988, they got hitched. 

They are now the proud parents of two and their son, Chet, has already made his way into showbiz. In 2015, the family rallied behind Wilson who had a double mastectomy and now advocates for it when it comes to treating cancerous illnesses. Hanks continues to star in films and landed roles in the 2020 movies BIOS and Greyhound.

Liam Payne & Maya Henry – 3 Years

Fans from around the globe go rhapsodic over updates about ‘One Direction,’ ‘The X Factor’ fame boyband now in hiatus, and Liam Payne, one of its members, is no exception. No doubt, music is his passion, but when it comes to solace and matters of the heart, he has Maya Henry, a thriving model, by his side.

Liam and Maya’s relationship suffered a rift after their 2020 engagement as the former believed he needed some time off. Yet, it took the duo only two months to be back together, more smitten than ever. Thank the stars or these two’s dedication to sticking along; their chemistry and love-life, as apparent from public appearances, has only spiraled up since then.

Many couples are eager to walk down the aisle right after finding “the one.” Anything wrong with that? Not at all, but Leona Lewis, with her now-husband Dennis Jauch, definitely had a different route in mind. This duo went on sweet dates, had enough romantic movie nights, and shared uncountable cute banters before tying the knot in 2019.

They settled for a low-buzz, simple Buddhist ceremony at a Tuscan vineyard in Italy. Now, we aren’t sure if that beautiful destination wedding was on Leona’s bucket list when she bumped into Dennis during her 2010 music tour. Talk of an enviable story that only uplifts our belief in true love!
