41 Rare Historic Photos That Will Always Be Remembered – These Moments Changed History & Were Caught On Camera Before The Age Of Photoshop & Lightroom

Since the invention of the camera, we’ve changed the way we look at our world. Photographs give us the ability to take a look at our past, or capture the present, and leave our trace in this life, so that future generations can get in touch with their past and get to know how people before them lived. The pictures you’re about to see come from different occasions, but each and one of them is unique in its own way. We should be thankful for the people who left these pictures behind, helping us know more about past traditions and civilizations, especially at a time when a camera cost a lot of money, and whoever wanted to own one would probably take a considerable hit on his savings account.

Suspended in Huge Steel Pipes

This huge pipe was used in the construction of the Hoover Dam, which started in the early ’30s. The photo was taken in 1935, featuring the huge steel pipe which weighed over 45 tons and had a 30-foot diameter. It was used to transfer water through the canyon, and this irrigation construction was actually really difficult. There were 112 deaths involved in the construction of the dam, and people had to work under adverse conditions to complete the task, which led to a workers’ strike in August 1931. Just imagine that workers had to be suspended almost 800 feet above the ground to get the job done. Of course, we’re talking about a very expensive task, with many banks involved in its building. There were also a lot of company stocks sold at the time of the dam construction.
